Luis A. Espino joined Fowler Rodriguez Valdes-Fauli as a partner specializing in the areas of commercial litigation and real estate. Mr. Espino has tried a variety of commercial cases in both federal and state court, including cases involving creditor’s rights and fraudulent transfers, consumer protection issues and other complex business disputes. He has handled a number of real estate litigation matters, including commercial disputes over real estate investments, commercial foreclosures, quiet title actions, condominium litigation, landlord tenant actions and broker disputes.
In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Espino also has an extensive real estate transactional practice. He assists developers in acquiring, financing and structuring industrial, retail and residential developments. He also has extensive experience drafting and negotiated leases for both landlords and tenants in office, retail and industrial properties. His clients include developers, banks and end users.
Mr. Espino focuses his practice in commercial and real estate litigation and real estate transactions. He has tried commercial cases in Federal and State Court in a broad range of areas, including corporate and partnership disputes, commercial tort actions, creditor’s rights matters and fraudulent transfer actions. Mr. Espino’s real estate litigation experience includes disputes over real estate investments, commercial foreclosures, quiet title actions and condominium litigation.
Mr. Espino’s real estate transactional practice involves assisting developers in acquiring, financing and structuring industrial, retail and residential developments. He also has extensive experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases for both landlords and tenants.
Mr. Espino graduated from the University of Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and received his law degree from Florida State University. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Espino is fluent in Spanish.
