Milagros "Millie" Muñoz joined Fowler Rodriguez Valdes-Fauli in 2006, as a partner in the areas of: Tax, Trust & Estates, Probate, General Corporate and International.
Ms. Muñoz was born in Camaguey, Cuba. She attended Florida International University where she received her B.A. degree in Accounting in 1992 and her Masters of Tax in 1993. She graduated cum laude from the University of Miami where she earned her J.D. degree in 1996. She was a member of Law Review and the prestigious Order of the Coif. In 1997 she received her L.L.M. in Tax from the University of Miami.
Ms. Muñoz has extensive experience handling complex domestic and international tax planning and compliance matters for high net worth individuals, financial institutions and US and non US based businesses. She has also represented a broad spectrum of international and domestic clients in their international, inbound and outbound tax planning and global tax minimization projects. She has extensive experience in FIRPTA and treaty-related issues for foreign clients investing in the U.S., and has done extensive work in Trust and estate planning for high net worth clients. Her experience enables her to provide substantial assurance to domestic and foreign clients that they will achieve their goals, while being fully compliant with all applicable laws in the United States andelsewhere.
